Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is your service about?

We do not just enroll your child in a class, we put them through a modified Montessori program, which includes targeted development of numeracy and literacy skills that are specially customized for each individual child to get them ready for mainstream schooling.
Together with the Sportify program, which trains children’s ability in gross and fine motor skills, children will develop the skills necessary to play and interact with other children in various sports environments.

What are the benefits and features of your curriculum?

Our specially modified Montessori programs include numeracy, phonetic, sensorial, practical life, and cultural skills.
Through this, we can evaluate your child’s learning capabilities, built up their confidence in social interactions, enhance their problem-solving skill, motivate the exploration of their curiosities, train their independent skills and contribute to teamwork.

Are meals served?

We serve nutritious food for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. All our food is specially and carefully prepared with high-quality supply from local suppliers. Our meals are developed together with a nutritionist, to assure the food consumed by the children is healthy and tasty. We serve a supply of tropical fruits at the end of the meal such as cherries, strawberries, mangos, and other seasonal fruits. This is to encourage our children to try new and different types of fruits.

How long will the child settle down after enrollment?

Depending on the individual child, each child perceives the new environment differently. The standard normalization period will range from 1 to 3 weeks before the child will get used to the new learning environment. Our child psychology consultant will discuss more in-depth with all parents during the enrollment.

What is the teacher’s qualification?

All our teachers have a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education or even a degree. The principal has a leadership qualification with early childhood and Montessori teaching on top of her teaching qualification and profession.

Leeds Montessori has a special dedicated in-house curriculum development and training team. We improvise and enhance our curriculum consistently to assure the child is prepared holistically and ready when they turn seven years old, getting ready for their mainstream education in their primary schooling.

What is the teacher children ratio in Leeds Montessori?

In Leeds Montessori, we believe in having a smaller class to provide greater attention and focus on the child’s learning environment. Our ratio is lower than the recommendation by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). This ratio will create a better learning spectrum, assisting our teachers in developing a learning curriculum specially nourish to each individual child’s needs and wants.
